Our findings are in line with a smaller case

When we analysed these participants’ crack use histories over time, a pattern emerged: significant increases in cannabis use during periods when they reported they were using it as a crack substitute, followed by decline in the frequency of crack use afterwards. As in our study, in Brazil cannabis use peaked during the first three months of follow-up, with only occasional use of cannabis reported in the six months after that.First, we asked participants if they had substituted one drug for another in order to control or slow down their consumption. Public health officials in BC are warning that fentanyl has been detected in many drugs circulating on the illicit market, including crack cocaine.

These were the subjects included in our analysis, contributing to a total of 620 interviews over three years. Its consumption, either through smoking or injection, is not necessarily deadly.Other research has shown that long-term cannabis dependence might increase cocaine cravings and risk of relapse. We found that people who intentionally used cannabis to control their crack use showed a marked decline in crack consumption, with the proportion of people reporting daily use dropping from 35% to less than 20%.(This article originally appeared in The Conversation Global). Individuals in these cohorts were recruited through snowball sampling and extensive street outreach in the Downtown Eastside and Downtown South areas. These are poor areas where crack is common among people who use drugs.Despite the estimated 14 to 21 million cocaine users high speed injection molding machine worldwide, the majority of whom live in Brazil and the United States, scientists have yet to find an effective medical treatment for helping people who wish to decrease problematic use of the drug.New study shows that opioid overdose can be avoided with assistance from regulated marijuana use Crack can cause a host of harm from cuts to transmission of HIV on using shared pipes (Photo: Pixabay) North America is in the midst of a drug overdose disaster.Research done by the BC Centre on Substance Use in Vancouver shows that using cannabis may enable people to consume less crack.Qualitative studies in Jamaica and Brazil also indicate that crack users frequently self-medicate with cannabis to reduce cravings and other undesirable effects of crack. If misused, though, crack can certainly cause health harms, including cuts and burns from unsafe pipes. Now these obstacles are beginning to disappear, enabling our team to better understand and unlock the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids.

A total of 122 participants (49 from VIDUS, 51 from ACCESS, and 22 from ARYS) reported that they had done so at least once in the last six months. In British Columbia, Canada, where nearly 1,000 people died of overdose in 2016, officials have declared a public health emergency. We used harmonised procedures for recruitment, follow-up and data collection.Canada’s recent move to legalise and regulate marijuana should facilitate this work.Cannabis-assisted treatmentNow Canadian scientists are working on an unconventional substitution for it. For decades, stigma and prohibition have blocked rigorous scientific evaluation of cannabis. They were the Vancouver Injection Drug Users Study (VIDUS); the AIDS Care Cohort to Evaluate exposure to Survival Services (ACCESS); and the At-Risk Youth Study (ARYS). In the long run, frequent and heavy crack consumption may contribute to psychological and neurological complications.Building on the finding from this preliminary study, the BC Centre on Substance Use is planning more research to confirm whether using cannabis might be an effective strategy for people seeking to reduce their use of crack or other stimulants, either as harm reduction or as treatment.

Data for this study, which was recently presented at the Harm Reduction Conference in Montreal, were drawn from three open and ongoing prospective cohorts of more than 2,000 people who consume drugs (not necessarily just stimulants). While over-prescription of painkillers and contamination of the illegal opioid supply by fentanyl, a potent synthetic analgesic, are at the heart of the problem, opioid users are not the only ones at risk. Sharing pipes can also transmit infectious diseases such as HIV and hepatitis C.The possibility of opioid overdose is an unusual new threat for people who use crack, which is a stimulant.Self-medicationOur findings are in line with a smaller case-series study in Brazil that followed 25 treatment-seeking individuals with problematic crack use who reported using marijuana to reduce cocaine-related craving symptoms. Rather than contradict findings from Canada, Brazil and Jamaica, these discrepancies suggest that patterns of cannabis use and dependence, and the timing of self-medication with cannabis, may play a role in individual outcomes. Could marijuana become to crack what methadone is to heroin – a legal, safe and effective substitute drug that reduces cravings and other negative impacts of problematic drug use?Between 2012 and 2015, our team surveyed more than 100 crack cocaine users in the city’s Downtown Eastside and Downtown South neighbourhoods. Over a nine-month follow-up period in that study, conducted by Eliseu Labigalini Jr, 68% of participants had stopped using crack

Terminator was made for about

The original Terminator was made for about 6 million, while the sequel was priced out at more than 15 times that amount. The 3-D pops out at us in the famous opening credits, with the Terminator’s metallic skull face bursting through flames. The first Terminator had a nifty and at times wonderfully head-spinning plot, and it combined action movie pyrotechnics with Twilight Zone-type elements such as time travel and what happens when humans try to return to the past and alter things that have already occurred. They cleaned up scratches, dirt and faded photo chemistry from the original negative, layered in certain colours and shades that weren’t quite right in the first place and made just a few minor fixes and adjustments, for example, during the truck chase sequence in the 1991 edition, a windshield is shattered, only to reappear intact in a subsequent shot. There was a massive increase in the budget, allowing Cameron to pursue that vision. Its massive success gave Cameron the juice to secure increasingly enormous budgets for ever-more ambitious projects, including Titanic and eventually the Avatar franchise. In typical Cameron fashion, the conversion of Judgment Day to 3-D was a long, laborious and passionate endeavour, with Cameron overseeing a team of nearly 1,000 artists and technicians who spent six months adding the 3-D effects.

And, of course, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, James Cameron’s 1991 follow-up to the 1984 time-travelling sci-fi actioner about a cyborg assassin sent back in time to take out one Sarah Connor — and the great soldier that spirals back from the future to protect Sarah and to play an even more pivotal role in the ultimate survival of humankind.Schwarzenegger, in effect, replaces Michael Biehn as the main male action hero. And Hamilton’s Sarah and Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley five years earlier in Aliens (directed by Cameron) were the prototype action heroines. The 3-D pops out at us in the famous opening credits, with the Terminator’s metallic skull face bursting through flames. That continuity error has been rectified. If you’ve seen Judgment Day multiple times on your home big-screen, should you really go to the theatre and pay 2017 prices for the new 3-D version?Absolutely.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day was one of the best movies of the 1990s. For the rest of the journey, it’s on a par with the 3-D in most current films of the genre: occasionally impressive, often little more than icing on the cake, at times almost forgotten. But hey, it’s been available on various home video devices for decades now. But the sequel took those elements to the next level, with some of the most impressive chase scenes, hand-to-hand combat sequences and shootouts ever put on film, and a storyline with the brilliant masterstroke of turning the original, dreaded Terminator into a father figure/protagonist, and giving us a much more robotic, deadly, seemingly unstoppable killing machine as the villain. Terminator 2: Judgment Day poster Rating: Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, Robert PatrickDirector: James CameronWhen we talk about sequels that equal or even better the originals, a handful of titles are SP smart power Injection Molding Machine invoked nearly every time: The Godfather: Part II, Aliens, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It’s nearly impossible to overstate the importance of Terminator 2: Judgment Day as a creative work and as an influential chapter in Hollywood history. 1 box-office star in the world.

By arrangement with Asia Features. Now it’s one of the best movies of the 2010s.It’s the brilliance of the film itself that matters most. The upgrades in Judgment Day are myriad: Technological advances in computer-generated imagery and other special effects allowed Cameron to come closer to fully realising his vision for the Terminator story. You can see that money on the screen and in the star power of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who by that time was the No.This is no hastily cobbled-together, tacked-on 3-D re-release. Seeing Judgment Day in such a pristine, enhanced form is akin to listening to your favourite album from the 1990s on a million-dollar sound system. Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor transitions from plucky but overwhelmed regular gal to a lean, almost mean fighting machine — well, not a machine, of course, but a fiercely protective mother, hardcore survivalist and army of one.Terminator 2: Judgment Day solidified Schwarzenegger’s standing as one of the most unlikely (and most popular) action movie heroes ever.I loved the first Terminator, but I’d agree the sequel is a superior effort

Child Development to make this a policy applicable

A move like this will hopefully lead to a more humane HR policy towards such issues overall,” she says. “Maternity leave is also something that may similarly inconvenience a company. However, there is no question about the fact that it’s necessary. The culture of the company is also another factor. It all boils down to the mentality of the company executives. It boils down to the mentality of business owners,” Rajdeep concludes. Both men and women suffer from mental illnesses, people who suffer from Type A diabetes and other disorders which may not be obvious, but are legitimate reasons for not being able to work.“Firstly, you have to look at the nature of the enterprise. For instance, for an on-call surgeon in an ER, it would be tought to implement these policies,” he explains. “It is unnecessary. However, there are certain aspects that one must keep in mind before implementing such a policy in their companies, according to Rajdeep Bhattacharyya, director-HR, Cipla Health, who is quick to clarify that his views are personal and don’t reflect those of his organisation.

If a company has a relatively mature HR policy, it would be easier to implement. So, a system like this is welcome as it helps women talk about it.Mahabanoo Modi Kotwal, director of the Vagina Monologues, rubbishes the move.Devleena believes that bringing about a change of this sort will go a long way in changing the stigma around the topic. We are conditioned to feel embarrassed about our periods, and societal pressure expects us to keep that time of the month quiet, and out of sight. A screen-grab from the Culture Machine video At a time when the topic of feminism is a cause for raging debate, there are those who are ready to do something about it. Lastly, it depends on how critical the position of the person is in the company.Devleena believes that bringing about a change of this sort will go a long way in changing the stigma around the topic.“As someone with endometriosis.

I know how difficult the first day of periods can get. The company, which has won accolades for its HR policies, also put up a video on social media showing how the women of the company reacted on finding out the news.. Women have been doing this for ages, and I feel that there is no need for any such policies to be brought into place,” she says decisively. However, Harnidh points out that a move like this would also help those who are suffering from other invisible ailments. However, if the enterprise does not have that kind of faith in its employees, then it would be somewhat difficult to employ such policies. Maybe in time, companies will also learn to treat periods with a similar gravity and realise that these leaves are just as essential. “Acknowledging something like periods as a legitimate reason to take a day off will hopefully cause a shift in paradigm when it comes to HR policies around invisible illnesses.

“Everyone knows it’s a natural and an inevitable bodily process.“Culture Machine’s Blush – a woman-centric channel talks about a myriad of themes on women empowerment, and upliftment, so I think it was a time that we started practising what we preached. If it is a place where the physical presence of the employees is essential, like manufacturing plants, then it would be harder than if it were an IT company where the presence of the employee is not necessary for work to be done. To walk the talk, Culture Machine, a city-based company that generates digital content, which is socially relevant and entertaining has started a policy that gives a day off to its women employees on the first day of their periods. They have also directed a petition to the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Ministry of Women and Child Development to make this a policy applicable to companies across India. When the truth is that women spend up to 10 days a month dealing with period-related changes to their body, and we experience this monthly process China plastic injection molding over decades of our lives,” she asserts. Menstruation is discussed in schools and colleges, so why not at workplaces as well? It may be a slow process, but I am sure that it will make a difference eventually,” she says. The idea sparked off when one of our employees was having an awful day due to cramps, and that is when we thought, why not take period pain seriously and speak up for women experiencing it,” says Devleena S Majumdar, president of Human Resources, Culture Machine.Poster of PhulluFeminist and poet Harnidh Kaur also feels that a policy like this can go a long way towards empowering women to talk openly about their periods as well as create a platform for better HR policies overall

The app's layout would automatically reconfigure

Printers, scanners and other accessories also might need new controlling software, called drivers.Benefits for MicrosoftMicrosoft is reducing reliance on software sales in favor of services such as the Bing search engine, OneDrive storage and Skype for communications. Since last July, Microsoft has distributed the free upgrade on request. Microsoft can also encourage app makers to write more software for Windows 10 if a lot of people are using it. Getting Windows 10 shouldn't affect your photos and other documents, though there's always a risk of a meltdown with any major upgrade. Is this good for you The benefits of Windows 10Windows 10 has many improvements over its predecessors — especially Windows 8. You can avoid this by turning off automatic updates in the settings under Windows Update. New apps are being designed for Windows 10, so if you have an older system, you might find yourself shut out. Microsoft is now reclassifying Windows 10 as “recommended” rather than “optional. By then, it might be time for a new computer anyway.

Back up your files first. If you're not careful, you might suddenly find the new system on your old machine. What if you don't like Windows 10 Microsoft keeps a backup of your system for a month. How to keep the older WindowsMicrosoft is treating Windows 10 as a type of security update it regularly pushes to users. You never requested it, so why are you getting it The automatic download is part of Microsoft's aggressive push to get Windows 10 on as many devices as possible.” You'll find the option to return to Windows 7 or 8. It's much easier to use than Windows 8, and it offers more modern controls — akin to mobile devices — than Windows 7. It's similar to how Apple pushes its users to upgrade to the latest iPhone and Mac systems.” In doing so, those who have set their machine to automatically get important updates will get Windows 10, too.jpg If you're running an older version of Windows, you might suddenly find Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrade already downloaded on your machine. Microsoft makes money from ads and premium features that غير مجاز مي باشدt money — such as additional OneDrive storage. App developers know they can enable the latest features without worrying about abandoning too many users of older devices.

Microsoft isn't actually installing Windows 10 automatically, but installation is just a click or two away. You might be able to buy an app once to run on your PC, phone and Xbox game machine, for instance. Remember, you have only 31 double color injection molding machine days to change your mind. Why hold out System upgrades aren't always smooth, especially on older machines with slower processors, less memory and less storage space available. If a driver update isn't available, you might find yourself with a dead accessory. You can use an online storage service such as OneDrive or DropBox to keep a backup online.

But starting this week, it's also pushing it out to those who haven't requested it — and who might not want it. Your files should be OK, but you'll lose any apps installed after upgrading to Windows 10. If you work for a large company, your system administrators are likely monitoring these updates, so Windows 10 won't automatically download without their OK. (There is no Windows 9. That's not recommended, though, because you might miss important security fixes. If you're readyTo install Windows 10, all you need to do is accept it when prompted. Microsoft's Get Windows 10 app will verify that you meet minimum system requirements — but minimum doesn't mean speedy. The app's layout would automatically reconfigure to the given screen size.If you're running an older version of Windows, you might suddenly find Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrade already downloaded on your machine. Older machines also might have software that won't work on Windows 10, so you'd have to spend money upgrading those programs, if upgrades are available at all. In the settings, go to “Update & security” and then “Recovery.) Windows 10 also paves the way for multiple devices to work together. Plus, Microsoft isn't offering Windows 10 for free to larger companies. Windows 10 was designed to steer users to those services. wind. Microsoft will support Windows 7 until 2020 and Windows 8 until 2023, after which time it will stop fixing any security problems
